What is the Golden Visa?

Since 2013, Spain has had the Golden Visa to encourage foreign capital investment in Spain. “Golden Visa” is a residence permit for Spain and on the basis of this, foreigners or non-EU citizens who prove the purchase of real estate in Spain with an investment of at least 500,000 euros can live in Spain.

What do I need the Golden Visa for?

– Permanent residence permit in Spain for non-EU citizens.

– Permanent residence in Spain (more than 6 months) is not required.

– You can extend the residence permit even if you are absent for more than 6 months.

– This allows you to add your spouse and dependent family members, even if the investor is not in Spain.

– In addition to the residence permit, the visa also includes a work permit for the investor and his/her family members.

DEADLINE

Once you have submitted all the documents to the authorities, you will be able to benefit from the residence permit within one month.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPLICATION

– Age of majority.

– Legal residence in Spain.

– No previous convictions on your criminal record.

– You have health insurance in Spain.

– You intend to make one of the investments listed below in Spain.

– 500.000€ in real estate

– 1.000.000€ in Spanish investment funds.

– 2.000.000€ in Spanish public debt.
